It's been a second since the last post, and there have been a whole slew of wonderful projects that I've had the chance of working on (which will be posted soon). But this may be the largest undertaking of not only the past year, but career-wise, and was a few months long of a process.
Ian Hultquist and I had the chance of co-scoring "The First Monday in May", directed by Andrew Rossi, that "follows the creation of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's most attended fashion exhibition in history, "China: Through The Looking Glass"" (from FirstMondayInMay.com). Although we were introduced to the project early on while Andrew Rossi and his team were still filming, it wasn't until last fall (2015) that we really dove into the score for this fashion documentary.
"The First Monday in May" premiered and opened the Tribeca Film Festival 2016 on Wednesday April 13th and we couldn't be happier with the score, the documentary, or the reception that the documentary has had so far. The documentary also opened in theaters nationwide on April 15th, and you can find showtimes and locations here.
Watch the trailer below, see a few photos from the premiere, and read some articles about the project below!
