“Solstices have been something that have become meaningful to me in recent years. To consciously experience the longest day of the year in June, and on then the shortest day of the year in December brings about a symmetry in time that I find reassuring and comforting. These moments are a chance for reflection, highlighting the dichotomy between light and dark, melancholy and sunniness, emerging and hiding in shadows.”
